From June 2 to 6, 2023, PMSM Indonesia organized an international program titled “Learn Technology & Society 5.0 @ Japan”, attended by 27 participants from various industries and institutions. The benchmarking aimed to explore how Japan leverages advanced technologies to support social, economic, and environmental transformation.
The group visited leading companies such as TOTO Museum, Shabondama Soap, Asahi Printech, and ASO Group. Participants learned about innovations in water efficiency, environmentally friendly products, use of digital and IoT technologies in industry, and sustainable production practices — all aligned with Japan’s Society 5.0 vision, where technology helps solve societal challenges.
The program provided participants with applicable and inspiring insights, especially regarding the use of technology for sustainability. Post-event surveys revealed that 100% of participants were interested in joining future PMSM benchmarking programs, with high appreciation for accommodations, company visits, and professional networking sessions.
PMSM Indonesia hopes this program becomes a key milestone in fostering global collaboration and expanding Indonesian professionals’ perspectives in facing digital transformation and sustainable industry challenges.
